Roy was a poor kid who graduated top of his class full of eager hopes to become a Guardian and PROTECT THE COUNTRY. Unfortunately, it turned out Guardians kill a lot of innocents. Roy was so miserable that when he was recruited by the neighboring country of Barrayar, he left. He spent years serving Barrayar until he was called back to his home to become an Alumni professor. So he returned, resolved to change his country from the inside. He's now been teaching at Pinnacle for years, seeking out clues and taking opportunities to gain person-to-person influence within the school. To students he's known as an easy A softie, but the truth is he's very good at teaching his subject: Bonds, aka how to deepen them, team-build, and Mentally Discipline Yourself. His students ace his classes and most get what they put into it, but it might be a little mortifying if they don't like admitting things like passion and feelings.

Roy and his partner, Miles Vorkosigan (a Barrayaran Lord and fellow Sacrifice alumni staff) are usually first responders for Campus Incidents. They keep an eye out for any students that may be anomalies, and work to keep them safe under the table. The gossip is they're totally fuckin'.

Pinnacle history: Graduated top of his class in Pinnacle in Sacrifice. Has been teaching as a professor of Bonds (advanced theory and lab), for quite a few years now.
Powers/Abilities: Roy turns into a magical pair of inflammable gloves that grant the wearer alchemy. The more complex, the more the wearer is covered in active arrays.

Appearance Notes: Roy has dark blue rocklike hands, they are a shiny obsidian/flint compound that's magically flexible like flesh.
